THE LAKE HOUSE

It's ages ago that I saw the press screening of The Lake House...
*I didn't even remember when it was exactly... It's coz of the d**n speedy that just died this couple of weeks that made me offline for like a century*
Anyway, the movie didn't made any particular impression to me...
Except that it was....
ONE OF THE BEST ROMANTIC MOVIE I'VE EVER SEEN!!

I mean it's really unlike any romantic film...
The chemistry between Keanu Reeves & Sandra Bullock is just tangible...
*Maybe coz they're 'hooked' up before in Speed*
They were successfully revealing real human feelings...
Their performances just swept you away...

Picking Chicago as the set just completes it...
Chicago's impressive architecture is used to great effect...
For those who aren't into romantic movie, you would just fall for the cinematography...
It's gorgeous! Creating a cold, atmospheric setting...

The plot may be a bit out of the ordinary...
"Implausible" some say...
But that's the great thing about it...
You'll get to free your fantasy without time and logical boundary...
And when you think about it, it's actually pretty simple and honest...
It comes down to a story about how two peoples lives change when they allow themselves to connect...


So over all, I ADORE the movie!!
*despite the fact that I am Keanu FREAK*
It's DEFINITELY A HIGHLY RECOMMENDED MOVIE!!
Don't go in expecting it to all make sense, but go in with an open heart and open eyes and let it win you over...

FABIO CANNAVARO

I was intended to write something up on the final of World Cup 2006...
* I mean my team (ITALY) won*
But since things were pretty hectic, it just seems to be a bit stale...
*things to short out before my boss off holiday, then the Southern Java Tsunami stroked, and finally my speedy i-net crashed for a few days just merrier all.. Yay!!*


Anyway, after that World Cup 2006, I just been kinna into a soccer thing...
Especially into Fabio Cannavaro...
He's a d**n good defense player!
And therefore in World Cup 2006 he won Silver Ball Award!
Isn't that something?


That's why it's so normal that he got so many over from top clubs in Europe to join them...
And last week he finally decided to join Real Madrid along with Emerson and followed by Ruud van Nistelrooy this week...
Is this means that I' m gonna forced myself to watch 2am soccer game from now on?
Hmm... Not sure yet...

Since I only slept 1 hour yesterday, now I'm really sleepy...

PIRATES OF THE CARRIBEAN: DEAD MAN'S CHEST

Last Thursday me and my sis went to press screening of Pirates of the Carribean: Dead Man's Chest at Setiabudi 21...
But since we got the wrong info, we missed 45 minutes of the film...
So I couldn't gave any reviews on that yet...
But it turned out that to be a really funny movie...
I'll watch it again the full version...
Than I'll give my comments...

GO GO ITALY!!

YIPPIIIII!!! ITALY GOES TO FINAL!!

After taken out Germany by 2:0 last night...
It's a splendid victory indeed!

It's a good game they both played...
90 minutes game still couldn't produced any goal...
2 x 15 minutes extra time had to be played...
But in 119' Fabio Grosso miraculously shaked Lehmann's castle!
And 2 minutes later (120+1') Del Piero added another score making sure Italy's road to Berlin has no obstacle...
Italy has showed their true character among 60,000 Germany fans against them...

I'm SO HAPPY that they WON!!...
They managed to fullfil their 12 years cycle to play in the final...
GO GO ITALY !!

But I think the reason why I fall for this guy is coz he's sooooo d**n look alike like my man

SUPERMAN RETURNS

Yesterday I watched Superman Returns with Cyntha, Jaya & Lia...
I missed the press screening on Tuesday, 28 June in Setiabudi 21 at 09.00..
*Couldn't escaped from the office *


The movie is quiet long, 2.5 hours I think...
But u wouldn't even felt the long hours, especially ladies...
You will be spoiled by Brandon Routh...
*Gosh, he's a babe *


This movie is not a remake of any other Superman movie...
The charm of Brandon Routh could even compete with Christopher Reeves, the former Superman...
*I think even exceeded*
The producer Bryan Singer made the right decision by choosing him...
But I didn't agree with Kate Bosworth as Lois Lane...
I think she doesn't have the 'smart' look as Lois should be...

For those of u that might expect more action, u would've have to be dissapointed with this movie...
Drama lover on the other hand would adore it...
There are a few things that I spotted from this movie..
I have to give thumbs to the wardrobe for keeping Superman's hair looks good even when he's in the ICU room...
*u can even see that one curl*
But unfortunately they missed it with Lois's hair after she got bumped on the plain on the first scenes...
Aren't cryptonites suppose to take all Superman's power?
How come he still managed to throw the new island out of space when it's full of it??!@#
And what's with the kid? For sequel???

And I have to protest about the all age movie thing...
There are violences in that movie that children would imitate without even realise the danger of it...
They saw their hero done it...

So, I would've to give only 2.5 for this movie...
